The GE F-Code Family
Because Monogram ovens are engineered by GE, they report faults with GE-style F-codes. The code identifies the subsystem rather than the exact part: the control and keypad, an over-temperature condition, or the oven temperature sensor. The exact digits vary by model and control generation, so confirm against your manual, but the families below are the ones we see most on Monogram wall ovens and ranges.
Monogram Oven F-Code Families
| Code Family | Points To | Typical Response |
|---|---|---|
| F0 / F1 / F7 stuck key | Keypad or control stuck | Reset; replace keypad or board |
| F2 over-temperature | Oven ran too hot | Test relay and sensor; do not ignore |
| F3 sensor open | Temperature sensor open circuit | Replace sensor, check wiring |
| F4 sensor shorted | Temperature sensor shorted | Replace sensor, check wiring |
Stuck-Key and Over-Temperature Codes
An F0, F1 or F7 in the GE family generally points to a stuck key or a control fault, where the board reads a continuous button press. A single event often clears with a power reset at the breaker for a minute; one that returns means the keypad or control board needs replacing. An F2 over-temperature code is the one to take seriously, it can mean a relay is stuck sending power to the element, and it should be diagnosed rather than reset and ignored.
The Sensor Codes
F3 and F4 point to the oven temperature sensor, open and shorted respectively. The sensor is a resistance probe; when it or its wiring fails, the control loses its reading and posts the code, and the oven will not heat correctly. Replacing the sensor and confirming its connector at the back of the oven is a standard OEM repair and the most common fix for a Monogram oven code.

The Bottom Line
Monogram oven F-codes in the GE family point to a stuck key, an over-temperature condition, or the temperature sensor. Reset a transient stuck-key code once, act promptly on an over-temperature code, and expect a standard sensor replacement for the common F3 and F4 codes.
