We service the Cove dishwasher line, the DW2450 in panel-ready and stainless forms, across Boerum Hill, Carroll Gardens. Cove was designed by the same group behind Sub-Zero and Wolf, and it shares their focus on serviceable parts and long support. It uses a filtration and drain system, a water-softening feature on many installs, and a set of indicator lights that signal cycle status and faults rather than a numeric code display.
Filter and Drain Care
The filter in the base of a Cove dishwasher is the heart of its maintenance. Food debris collects there and, left too long, restricts flow, dulls cleaning and can stop the machine draining fully. Remove and rinse the filter every week or two, and check the sump and drain path while you are there. A blocked filter or check valve is the most common reason a Cove will not drain, which we cover in detail in the linked article.

Rather than a numeric code, a Cove signals through its indicator lights. A particular pattern points to a drain problem, a water-supply issue or a door-latch fault. Clearing the filter and checking the drain resolves many drain-related patterns; a light pattern that returns after that needs a technician to test the pump, valve and sensors. Loading and Everyday Use
Load so the spray arms turn freely, scrape rather than pre-rinse, and keep rinse aid topped up for good drying. Cove rewards the same habits as any premium dishwasher, and overloading is the most common avoidable cause of uneven results.
